Terms

Terms of use

These terms cover your use of lossruntoexcel.com. They are meant to be read. Last updated October 28, 2026. By using the service you agree to them.

What the service is

LossRun Pro is a web tool that reads a loss run PDF that you upload and returns a claims schedule, a policy-year summary and a check of the report's printed totals. "We" and "us" mean LossRun Pro, the operator of lossruntoexcel.com. "You" means the person using it and, if you use it for an employer or client, that organization.

Using the service under these terms

The terms in five habits.

  1. Upload only what you mayUse documents you are entitled to hold and share. Do not upload a loss run that has been forged or altered.
  2. Read the output against the sourceThe service reads documents by machine. Check the schedule, and above all any line that does not tie, against the carrier's report.
  3. Do not treat a tie as proofA tie shows that your rows add up to the report's printed total. It does not make the carrier's report correct or complete.
  4. Stay within the allowanceFree: 1 file per day, up to 10 pages, no account. Paid plans have the limits shown on the pricing page. Do not try to get around a limit.
  5. Tell us when something looks wrongWrite to [email protected]. Do not send claim files by email: say which page and which step, not what the claim was about.

Who is responsible for checking the figures

Whichever way a loss run reaches a spreadsheet, the person who sends the history to a market owns it.

Questions about the terms

Can I upload a loss run that is not about my own business?

Only if you have the right to. A broker who acts for the insured, or an underwriting assistant working on a submission, normally does. If you are not sure you are entitled to hold and share a loss run, get the insured's authorization before you upload it.

May I redact a loss run before uploading it?

Yes. Removing claimant names or other personal details is fine, and the privacy page suggests it where names must not reach a third-party processor. What is forbidden is changing amounts, dates, statuses or any other fact so that a claims history reads differently from the carrier's report.

Is the schedule I download a carrier-issued loss run?

No. It is a machine-read summary of a loss run that you supplied, in a different layout. It is not issued, signed or verified by any carrier. Attach the carrier's own loss runs to a submission and treat the schedule as your working summary of them.

Can I rely on a tie-out as proof that the figures are correct?

No. A tie-out shows that the claim rows the service read add up to the totals the report printed. It cannot show that the carrier's totals are right, that the report is complete, or that nothing was missed on a page the reader could not resolve. You remain responsible for checking the schedule against the source before it goes to a market.

What happens if I go over my allowance?

Conversions stop until the allowance renews or you change plan. The free allowance is 1 file per day, up to 10 pages. The limits for the paid plans are on the pricing page. Trying to get around a limit, for example by clearing browser data to reset a counter, breaks these terms.

Can several people share one Pro plan?

No. Pro is for one person. Agency covers five seats: the same page code is entered in each person's browser, and the team shares the one pool of pages. Nothing is arranged by email, and there are no accounts.

Can I call the conversion endpoint from my own software?

Not at present. The conversion function is part of this site and exists for its pages. Automated or bulk use outside the page, and anything that could overload the service, is not allowed. Write to [email protected] if you have a use that needs it.

How do I cancel a paid plan?

Cancel the subscription in your PayPal account, or email [email protected], before your next billing date. No further payment is taken, and the pages already on your page code stay yours.

Is the service always available?

No guarantee is given. The service depends on other providers for hosting and for reading documents, and it may be slow, unavailable or changed from time to time. Do not leave a deadline for the last hour.

Is this legal or insurance advice?

No. The service converts documents. It does not advise on coverage, underwriting, claims handling or the law, and nothing on this site should be read as if it did.
